What is “Interesting Point of View”?


Interesting point of view” is a simple phrase you can say to yourself every time you notice a thought, belief, judgment, or emotion—whether it feels good, bad, or heavy.

It’s not about denying what you think or feel—it’s about creating space between you and the thoughts that limit you. By repeating this phrase, you begin to unstick yourself from mental patterns that may be weighing you down.


Why This Tool Matters


Every time we interact with someone and truly listen, we are also exposed to their points of view, judgments, beliefs, and biases—many of which may not align with our truth or what we desire for our lives. And when that happens, we often go into resistance and rejection (even if only mentally), or we end up accepting those views as true—even when they’re limiting or simply not ours.

Either way, we’re engaging with energy that doesn’t serve us. But what if you could just listen… and let it pass through you without judgment or attachment? That’s what Interesting Point of View allows. It’s like a mental detangling—freeing us from getting stuck in ideas that aren’t really ours.

A Personal Story

During one of my own sessions, I told my facilitator that I was often hearing ideas at work that didn’t match what I believe or know to be true for me. I was clear on my own truth—but still found myself mentally fighting those thoughts whenever I heard them. It was exhausting. I felt constantly defensive.

Then he said something that changed everything: “Gary used this tool for six months straight. After that, he had no fixed points of view or judgments about anything.”

And what do you gain from that?Freedom.

When you have no fixed beliefs, you stop resisting or absorbing what doesn’t resonate. You become open to what’s actually happening—without the inner battle. He also reminded me:
